"Great Service!   If you need our sewing machine repaired or just cleaned and oiled, I highly recommend Elaine at Gravity Sewing.   She did a great job on my Bernina 830 machine.  It looks and runs like new.  She not only cleaned and oiled it but also found and fixed a problem that I did not realize I had.

Thank you, Elaine"

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

How can I request sewing machine service work?

You contact me, schedule a time to drop off your sewing machine, and I take the machine and start working on it. I will contact you after determining what exactly it needs so I can give you an accurate cost estimate.

What if I want to meet somewhere else?

Let me know where you would like to meet, and I will see if I can meet you there.

What do I need to bring with my sewing machine?

In addition to the sewing machine, I will need the power cord, foot pedal, at least one bobbin, and preferably a zigzag foot (or regular foot if zigzag is not available).

How do I get my sewing machine back?

I will contact you to let you know when your machine is ready to be picked up and what the final cost will be. You can schedule pick up with the "pick up / drop off" button above, or contact me.

What payments do you accept?

I can accept cash, check, credit/debit cards, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.

What if my sewing machine needs repaired?

I can perform non-warranty work on most domestic sewing machines. I am not able to do software updates at this time. I will evaluate what is wrong and let you know if I can repair it and how much it will likely cost for parts and repair time. You can decide if it's worth the cost before I order parts and start the repair.

How do I decide if it's worth repairing a sewing machine?

Many sewing machines are inherited, and you may decide to repair or not based on a machine's sentimental value rather than market value. I am not an expert in market value, but I have a few machines that are in the "sentimental" category and several that are not. I don't judge if you decide to repair or not. Email me at gravitysewing@gmail.com with questions.
